TCM says Menopause is the Second Spring
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) menopause is called "The Second Spring", this speaks so beautifully of the possibilities of the space that opens up after the journey of perimenopause.
So give yourself this space to access your second spring and allow your intuition and knowing draw you there.
Of course this time can be very challenging so get support to ease your transition.
Think Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs as these can help lessen the signs and symptoms of menopause.
I also see in the clinic that if women get acupuncture and herbs as soon as they feel their cycle is changing and that perimenopause is starting that this will help them physically and emotionally.
It's seen in TCM as a time where the Yin of the body is less (the cooling part) and so the Yang of the body will rise up, hence the hot flushes, dry skin and vagina tissue, sleepless nights, anxiety or heart palpitations plus anger or excessive emotions. These symptoms in TCM are all related to the heat/yang not being balanced by the cooling/yin. For homeostasis in the body we need the balance of yin and yang which is acupuncture's specialty.
Best, Tabitha
